Hi everyone,

I am super-stoked to make this announcement, because I’ve been a fan of this guy’s for years. I’d like to introduce anyone who doesn’t know him to #5 ranked UFC Welterweight Matt “the Immortal” Brown, our new brand ambassador.

Some of you know I’ve been a fan of the UFC for years, and I’ve been watching the progression of Matt’s career since his time on the cast of The Ultimate Fighter reality show, cheering for the Ohio native, and being amazed at the guy’s heart and guts.

If you haven’t seen him fight yet, you’ve been missing out. Matt’s been on an absolute tear through the welterweight division of the UFC. His May 2014 fight with Brazilian fighter Eric Silva in front of his home town crowd was quite possibly the fight of the year, if not the decade, no exaggeration. I’ve seen it twice, and even the guys calling the action said it was the greatest fight they’d ever seen – and that was just at the end of the first round (Matt stopped Eric by TKO in the third).

Matt’s never-quit attitude, his come from behind victories, and gritty, “grind it out” style has made him a fan favorite. And with a nickname like “The Immortal”, who better to represent Lew & Huey, when our brand name means rebirth?

You can follow Matt on Twitter and Instagram, and be sure to watch as he beats the snot out of Tarec Saffiedine at UFC Fight Night on February 14th. One more win, and he gets a shot at the welterweight title, and current champion Johnny Hendricks. When I spoke to Matt, I asked him if he thought he could beat Hendricks. Not unexpectedly, he didn’t hesitate, “Yeah, I’d beat him tomorrow.”

One last thing before I wrap up… Thanks to everyone who’s backed our current Kickstarter project for the Legends Racer. If you haven’t visited the project page yet, please do, and even if you can’t back the project, please use the buttons under the video to share a link on Facebook and Twitter. THANKS!
